Overview
The COSEAL Workshop series offers a forum for discussing recent advances in automated algorithm configuration and selection. Its 10th edition took place
March 6-8, 2023 in Paris,
on the Jussieu campus of Sorbonne University (Paris city center, 5th arrondissement).
COSEAL workshops provide the chance to discuss on-going research and recent results with other researchers. Presentation formats are oral presentations (very limited number) and poster sessions.
There are no paper submissions and no formal proceedings.
Scope of the Workshop
The scope of COSEAL includes, but is not limited to:
- Algorithm selection
- Algorithm configuration
- Algorithm portfolios
- Performance predictions and empirical performance models
- Bayesian optimization
- Hyperparameter optimization
- Automated machine learning (AutoML)
- Neural architecture search
- Meta-learning
- Algorithm and parameter control
- Explorative landscape analysis
- Programming by optimization
- Hyper-heuristics
Important dates
- Registration deadline was January 31, 2023
- Workshop dates: March 6-8, 2023
Workshop Location
COSEAL 2023 was held on the Jussieu campus of Sorbonne University in Paris (5th arrondissement, next to the Botanical Garden, metro stop Jussieu, served by metro lines 7 and 10).
All presentations and poster sessions were held at the International Conference Center of Sorbonne Université on the Jussieu campus. When you enter the campus, find tower 44 to your right. Walk up to the first floor, find corridor 44-45. You will find COSEAL activities in room 108.
Registration Fees
No registration fees. That is, registration is free, but mandatory (we need it to plan the coffee breaks, the welcome reception, etc.)
Presentation Formats
Three types of presentations:
- poster
- regular talk (20 minutes slot)
- short talk (5 minutes slot)
